Old Post Office Restaurant

Pretty cool little place
Post offices in the old days, were great, everyone meets there.

Food was well prepared, service was excellent and the grits were the best I've had. Highly recommended

Service was great and friendly. We made reservations, as they are recommended but the restaurant was not at all packed on the Friday night that we went. We had planned to show up early and go to the bar but were told it was not open over the phone. The website mentions one and the hours but we did not see one, maybe it was upstairs? I had a steak, cooked rare, with vegetables and grits and a side salad. The side salad was good but average for a salad, nothing to set it apart. The steak was cooked perfectly but would have been much better without the goat cheese on top, it really took away from the taste of the steak and was not needed. I'm not a grits person so I didn't eat them all but they were ok. The vegetables were good but not at all fresh and while prepared well they tasted like they were frozen from a bag. While I'm not against that, for the price they charged the ingredients should be fresh, not frozen. Overall the price was too expensive for what we were served. It was average food at downtown prices.

Service was excellent! Savannah was our waitress And she was outgoing & very helpful. Food was also excellent, had oysters, scallops, flounder, and veal. We really enjoyed our experience!!

Good, atmosphere, and service was fantastic! Best restaurant in Edisto! The server Amanda made the experience memorable and her sweet tea is the best I’ve had!
