Coot's Bar & Grill

Service at the bar was good. Never got knife or fork when we ordered burgers with mayo on the side. Burgers were a little greasy but yet full of flavor. Didn't think prices were as bad as some said. Two burgers , one with cheese and bacon, bottle of beer and a mixed drink were under $35. Great ocean view.

Let me begin by saying that this place seems small... But it has a ton of heart. Jesse was my bartender and knew her craft well, along with her wonderful serving skills and customer service, she had a wonderful smile that just welcomed you to the island. Mel seemed to be the proprietor, and she was just as wonderful with her recommendations for the local libations, customs, history, and service. This is truly a happenin' place who will welcome you with open arms. When I think of Edisto Beach, I will always think of Coot! Thank you all!

Burger and fries were great, after having some concern from previous reviews. Never had an empty beer and staff was friendly. Was not crowded at the time of visit

We visited for a late dinner on a Wednesday night. Our server was friendly and prompt with drinks and orders. The live music was fun. Food is typical bar food; not much to get excited about, but it came quickly and as ordered. Our biggest complaint is the high prices. The bill for a burger, cheese sticks appetizer, one beer, and one mixed drink was $35; the mixed drink was especially overpriced at $13. It was delicious, but probably not that delicious...
