The Crab Shack

My husband and I shared the fried shrimp and crab cakes plus an order of hush puppies. We ordered mixed vegetables and red rice. This is my half of the meal which was delicious and plenty of food. Everyone else in our group enjoyed their food equally (house salad with shrimp, cheeseburger of the kids’ menu).

I was here about 10 years ago and fell in love with the the crab stuffed mushrooms. I didn't have them this time, but still chose an appetizer because I usually eat small. I don't think I was prepared for the large amount of crab dip I got. It's enough for 3-5 people and it's super delicious!!! My husband had the Double D BBQ Shrimp & Crab Sandwich and fries. We always judge every restaurant's fries and these are, by far, some of the best fries out there! My husband thinks the sandwich would be better if all of its parts were separate but he still enjoyed it. I love the outdoor eating area, right around noon, but it doesn't take long after that to start getting too hot for me to eat outside and enjoy it. The service is always great, just remember to be patient when the place is busy (don't forget you're at the beach either and try to relax a little ;)) and the place is almost always busy, unless you get there as the first customer, like we did yesterday. The prices are fair and comparable for seafood. Overall, I highly recommend it!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Crab Shack. I thought the food was well done and the menu is well done as a whole. My wife and I split one of the steamed platters and everything was tasty. The service was prompt and friendly, I also thought the prices were totally reasonable. I found the music outside to be a bit loud, but maybe that was just the band. Also even though everything was good, it wasn't the best crab I've had and the place as a whole felt a bit cheap. All that being said, I would definitely return.

My daughter and I went there Friday night and it was awesome! The beer was ice cold and the shrimp was really good! Our server Rosanna was very knowledgeable and super nice!!, She gave us recommendations and they were delicious. Never had to ask for refills etc, she was always one step ahead! Great local place for casual dining!

We had a great experience at the crab shack, Cathleen our server was very sweet. The hush puppies were like a hush puppy should be with delish honey butter. The blackened shrimp Alfredo was divine, and the shrimp is locally sourced. The crab cakes were good as well. It has a very fun atmosphere with both inside and outside seating!! Thanks!
