“I see them on Folly beach a lot, but last night for Halloween I decided to try some food, and OMG!!! I had the cosmic Mac, and it was literally the BEST Mac and a cheese I’ve ever had in my life. It took me so long to decide what I even wanted because everything just looked so good. “Loved this place! They have fantastic food and offer a variety of Mexican and craft beers. Mondays are open mic nights and on Thursdays they have a live bluegrass band. All the staff was very friendly and laid back. Everything is outdoors so be mindful of the weather. If you stop here you're sure to have a great time!”

“We really enjoyed visiting St. James Gate. They had a great selection of beer, the atmosphere was cozy, the food was good, and the staff friendly. Casey the bartender was particularly awesome. “This place is easy to miss as it is very small, but you’ll definitely want to stop in for a slice or two. I got one that was pepperoni and gyro meat, which was good, but I LOVED their chicken Alfredo slice. It was perfect. They put sesame seeds on their crust, which I thought was interesting, but it turned out to be very tasty! Fast service. We were in and out in under 5 minutes!”

“We had great service. We went on a crowded day and one order was not prepared exactly as ordered. When informed of the error in how the order was prepared, it was corrected immediately. On a holiday weekend parking is at a premium, but that can't be blamed on the restaurant. The food was delicious and the entertainment was awesome.”

“I was here about 10 years ago and fell in love with the the crab stuffed mushrooms. I didn't have them this time, but still chose an appetizer because I usually eat small. I don't think I was prepared for the large amount of crab dip I got. It's enough for 3-5 people and it's super delicious!!! My husband had the Double D BBQ Shrimp & Crab Sandwich and fries. We always judge every restaurant's fries and these are, by far, some of the best fries out there! My husband thinks the sandwich would be better if all of its parts were separate but he still enjoyed it. I love the outdoor eating area, right around noon, but it doesn't take long after that to start getting too hot for me to eat outside and enjoy it. The service is always great, just remember to be patient when the place is busy (don't forget you're at the beach either and try to relax a little ;)) and the place is almost always busy, unless you get there as the first customer, like we did yesterday. The prices are fair and comparable for seafood. Overall, I highly recommend it!”

“Amazing food! You can definitely tell it is fresh & mostly homemade. The prices are very fair for the portions. I got a southern salad and it was quite large. I was with a part of 6 and everyone spoke highly of the sweet potato fries. The only downside to our visit was our waitress. She was extremely rude, cold and not attentive. We dined at 2pm so it was nowhere near closing. Great food, but service was below average.”

“This place was very busy when we visited, so the wait times were pretty lengthy, but the food was absolutely worth it. I love that they sell their pizza with the choice of a single slice and I got their bacon and steak as toppings. Their pizza was incredible and I would totally return for some more pizza. The service was good, even though they were slammed, we were treated with a welcoming attitude. Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a delicious pizza and a good outside view of Folly.”

“The Lost Dog Cafe on Huron Street at Folly Beach is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast or brunch in the Charleston area. The food is consistently tasty and well prepared and I have had a chance to have just about every menu item, but I seem to lean towards the breakfast side of the menu even when it is after noon. I really live the entire dog theme and atmosphere as there are dogs everywhere and it is dog friendly for the outside portion of the restaurant. I like that there is parking available and I seem to be able to find a parking spot in front most times I come here. The service is really good and attentive as they go all out to make sure that you have everything that you need. I know that coming here will be result in a pleasant experience.”
