I actually burnt my tongue cause I was too excited to eat. Boy, the food was very good. It was kind of hot when we went there and the AC wasn't giving too much cool air. But it's fine. And we are in South Carolina anyway.

This place is about 5mins away from Angel Oak tree which makes it a perfect stop over to eat after visiting the tree.

This place is absolutely amazing. The service is perfect even when their busy. The food was some of the best I've ever had. Go out of your way to check this place out while in Charleston.

We arrived close to noon. People waiting on porch and inside. Asked how long a wait. Said only 15 - 20 minutes. And it was not long at all! Food was delicious as always. She crab soup was full of crab! Really had more food than I could eat but forced myself!! Servise outstanding!!!

Food just like your grandmother used to make, clean and bright dining area, and friendly, quick service to begin with. They offer put together casseroles for customers to take home and bake which we did and they were delicious. There are also fresh produce and gift areas. It was crowded when we were there but the wait was short and the noise was quite tolerable as we could hear ourselves talk without having to raise our voices.

I've heard of this place for years, but until this evening had not tried. Famous for their tomato pie, it's deserved the fame. I had prime rib, very good, more well than ordered, but still melt in your mouth quality. I had an Arnold Palmer, altough they serve beer and wine, and the whole meal and southern service was not to disappoint. This is a flip flop attire venue, but you can step it up and not look out of place. Must do stop!!
