First time here. Our group came in for a late lunch. Don't let the area or parking lot fool you. Come inside for great, warm service and home cooked meats, vegetables and desserts. Very impressive daily specials of meats and fresh vegetables. And homemade desserts. Continuous fill ups of our beverages. And great service. We will return!!!

Best soul food I've had in Charleston! I went 3 times in the first week because I just cant get enough! The employees are amazingly friendly and I have not once had to wait long to get my food. Great place! I'm going again today!

Great food, wonderful customer service. Drove from Beaufort to spend the day in Charleston touring historic sites and decided to end with soul food prepared locally. It was delicious, and there was plenty to eat. Seafood was delicious, so were the burgers. I felt like I was with family. I will be back.

This is a tiny restaurant fronting a main road, and it isn't fancy looking. But that's where any deficits end. We needed help and asked how to order and she told us the fried chicken just finished coking. Well that did it for me. The chicken came with three sides but I couldn't eat that much so I got two sides, butter beans and black eyed peas and we also got some cornbread. I have never had fried chicken that good! The two sides were cooked like my momma used to fix them with bits of ham hocks and so well seasoned. All this with sweet tea. You couldn't find better home-made food than this. You have to try this place.

Staff was wonderful. I just was not impressed by the food. I wanted to support the business and give them a try, but I more than likely won’t be back. It just wasn’t for me. I asked for a brownie and their sweet potato pie. The brownie was nasty and the sweet potato pie tasted good, but it had way too many strings in it. That comes from rushing, and not whipping the potatoes until you get all of the strings out. The food was not memorable. As I look through the photos I see really good things. But I’m afraid to spend my money and it’s not what I hoped for.
