We used Callie’s in Charleston to cater my nephew’s wedding breakfasts- one for the guys and one for the girls as they were getting ready for their big day! Callie’s made the whole ordering and delivery process simple, arrived promptly at the hotel with yummy food hot and ready to serve. “I wanted to love this place so much unfortunately the cons overshadow the pros for my experience. I want to add first that I’m glad we didn’t bring our small child because the music was very loud, unedited, and very clear. Unedited Cardi B is definitely not kid friendly. Anyways, we were asked if this was our first time. We said yes. There wasn’t a very clear explanation on what to do. It was extremely hot. I think the place could use some fans or up the ac. We are cooking at the table so that only makes sense. The drinks are lukewarm cans of soda or a container of water. None of the food was labeled so the seasoned and sauced meat was a guessing game. There’s a don’t waste food sign at the table that mentions they can charge for food waste at their discretion but because nothing is labeled, you’re going to have food waste from people trying each thing just to find out what it is. The pros are that the grill was very easy and fast to cook on, the food was pretty good when you find what you like, and the staff was friendly. I think I’ll wait a while to visit again. Maybe they will work out some of the kinks.”

“My wife and I are really glad to have found this place right around the corner from us. We had a steak bowl with rice, a chicken bowl with just broccoli, an avocado roll, and some crab wontons. Everything was really good. The quality of the food was above what we normally find at other hibachi restaurants. We ordered the takeout from their website, which is great. We will definitely be back!”
