Five Loaves Cafe

Had a lovely dinner here tonight! Fantastic place for gluten free options that don't make you feel you are missing a thing! Waitress even brought gluten free bread to dip into oil & vinegar, what a major treat! Creative and delicious- can't wait to go back!

I had the rainbow trout dinner. The bread and dip came out. It was nice. Then I had the raspberry tea with my dinner. It was good. Light on raspberry but ok. The fish was divine! It was perfectly prepared. The texture was super delicate and flavorful. The fingerling potatoes were tender and creamy. The kale was the miss. The leaves were nice. However, the spines were awful. It is like they attempted wilted lettuce using hot butter. Total fail because that butter was in my plate and I had to pull the other food away from the bottom of the plate or risk ruining everything.
The waiter was a fantastic guy. Very attentive and friendly. The hostess was sweet and informative as we were seated. Overall, I couldn't ding the rating for one veggie as the only fail.
We enjoyed the visit as this was our first time in. We will visit again.
These restaurants that are like Five Loaves are great for people like my husband and I to have a nice meal that we know is healthy and portion control. It is not like one plate feeds 2 people. This is why we visit this small, friendly restaurants. You will enjoy it here. Thank you, staff at Five Loaves. 5 stars to the cook! One bad kale prep does not a bad meal make.

Healthy real food, but not pricey. Great service. Was a home years ago so cozy places inside plus front and back porches.

The food is great and very healthy! I will definitely be going back there again and again. I wish I would have taken a picture of the food. It looked so good I forgot. I just wanted to eat. I had the potato, broccoli and cheese soup and half blackened chicken and pimento cheese sandwich with bacon. Was very good.

Pretty good food. Not sure if we went too early and were only given the lunch menu but there didn't seem to be much of a selection. Sandwiches were good but either the blood Mary mix wasn't or it was because we got house vodka because the drinks weren't so hot.
