Brick Street Cafe

Brick Street holds a special place in my heart because my wife and I had our first date here.

I do miss the croissant rolls the chicken salad sandwich used to be on, but they are still delicious.
They also used to have meatloaf sandwiches which were great too but I'm sure you will find something equally as tasty.

The desserts are lovely...

This is an adorable place, and the service was incredible. They are rightfully famous for their cake, but the entrees were also we'll prepared. It is distinctly southern, so if you're sensitive to sweet flavors in your sauces, you may want to ask extra questions.

Great, friendly service. Plenty of parking for being just out of the downtown area. Very cozy and inviting ambiance. Food is good. Desserts are amazing. My friend loved the sweet potato cake. There aren't really any gluten free items, but they are incredibly accommodating to build a meal suited to your needs. Fyi- we called ahead and they will even let you bring in a gluten free pie shell the day before your meal and make your sweet potato pie.

Food was excellent but service was very lacking. That is the reason for only four stars. If you don't mind being ignored this is the place to go. Hope your experience is better than ours was today. 3-21-19.
