Chophouse '47

So this place is amazing. Expensive, but amazing. I'm definitely going back the next time I'm in Greenville. It is a bit like an "old boys club" but that isn't a bad thing. Because there were also plenty of tables with women having a fun night out so if you like great service (Amazing!!) Great cocktails and an $80 ribeye that will absolutely melt in your mouth, then please go here. If not, more for me. Oh, and the oysters Rockefeller did not suck.

Good food. A little dark and seems more catered to romantic dinners than business or friends. Dark enough to have trouble reading a menu for the 40 + crowd. Not from the area but it seemed a little pricey for what it was. But overall a good place for a steak. Really good sides as well. Wine list looked real good as well.

This is the best steak I've ever tasted. I could not recommend it more. If you're the type who loves huge, juicy, flavorful steaks that would come back to life and beat you if you were to touch it with a condiment. This place is for you. Loved the cigar smell and ratpack tunes as well.

Visiting the city and wanted to stay close to our hotel. We walked in without reservations early on a Sunday night and were seated quickly. Great service and the food was outstanding. Steak, fish, crab cakes- all of it was excellent.

A amazing an unique experience, to me, perhaps the best restaurant in the area. You step inside and are transformed back to the days of the rat pack. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. The ambiance, and perfection in food and service are second to none!!! However, if the smell of cigars bothers you, then skip it. Haven't figured out if they have a cigar bar, or just pump the smell in, but it is present. NOT OVERWHELMING, but if that doesn't bother you by l means, TRY IT!!
