Here's what you need to know: This shop offers the highest quality ingredients you will find in Greenville. The Hoagies are excellent and the meatball parmesan will RUIN all other meatball subs for you. They also offer sides that are more like gourmet food at a fine restaurant.
Harry’s is a great place for some delicious hoagies. They have specialty items, traditional, amazing sides, and just started carrying beer and wine. The staff is always super friendly and inviting. It is a bit loud inside at times but typically due to all the people so you know it’s good food! Their portions have recently gotten MUCH bigger too so you will be full from here! Well worth the money paid and can’t wait to keep going back.
Harry's Hoagie Shoppe is a 5 star review from me!
It's Sunday, and we slept in late, so it was too late for us to get breakfast. We decided to try this newer sandwich shop about 15 minutes from our house and we were wowed!
I didn't realize it at first, but my family has enjoyed the fare from the owners at their other business Mike's Philly Cheesesteaks & Roast Pork, at Gather GVL downtown. So to learn the same culinary folks are growing and expanding was a pleasant surprise. I saw a few familiar faces there taking our order. Everybody here is so friendly and excited to help you, and I like that you can see into their kitchen and watch them make your subs.
They exclusively use meat and cheese imported from Italy, this is "da good stuff" I grew up enjoying at small delis and corner stores in New York with my big Italian/German family. Their bread is authentic, fresh baked sesame rolls from New Jersey. It doesn't get much better. I would rate their food as one of the top 5 sandwiches i've ever eaten.
I got the 12" Italian. It's got genoa salami, ham, mortadella, and capocollo on a sesame roll, with provolone, oil/vinegar and onions. When I say this was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten, I mean it. The bread was soft and not at all soggy, the toppings were freshly sliced and loaded in there. The subs are fairly priced all considered and the quality is unbeatable. Looks are deceiving though-- you could easily make two meals out of a 12" sub, so save the butcher paper and wrap up the second half to go for later!
If you're looking to support a great local sandwich shop, look no further!
I don't believe in Subway anymore.
Clearly using quality meats and ingredients, quick turnaround, and everyone is very friendly.
My ONLY complaint was that the sides are so small - we need more of that potato salad!
10/10 will return!
Lucky to have a neighborhood hoagie place! The food was great! We bought a sample of 6in and they cut them for us! We were so excited to try them all, we forgot to take pictures. Guess we'll have to go again!
