Tremendous improvements since the last time I played here. The new grass installed is AWESOME! Best I’ve played on so far. Front 9 has just reopened and grass is a little thin, but the back 9 gives you a preview of what the front will be like in the Spring. Zoysia greens are the best I’ve seen them at this course.
Friendly and informative staff inside, new carts and a new restaurant in the clubhouse.
BY FAR the best bang-for-your-buck in upstate SC golf!

Pleasant course, nice greens and deep roughs. Nice clubhouse. Unfortunately, the snack bar wasn't open so no opinion on that. New golf carts with electronic maps. They don't tell yardage, they just show where you are on the course. Pleasant young man behind the counter at sign in. Front nine was closed so we played the back nine twice.

The work being done on the course by the City will really pay off in a year. The back nine was redone last year, and came in nicely. The front was redone this year, and will likely take until late spring 2022 to look as good as the back nine. I resigned my membership this year for several reasons. 1) There was no break given to members with medical issues. One of my playing partners was out for months with major surgery and was offered no relief on fees. 2) Tee times are not well managed. People show up, sometimes in large groups, and seem to tee off when they want to. We even had people show up mid round and ask to join us for the last 4 holes. 3) There are no rangers, and slow play was getting worse. There are five-somes. They won't let you play through. With the course now a municipal course, there are more beginners and people who don't know rules of etiquette. They need a PA system.to announce tee times and stop those that think they can go off when they want to. They need starters/rangers. 4) They can't seem to keep up with mowing in the rough, even with 9 holes closed. I don't know if they can't hire or won't hire enough grounds keeping staff. This adds to slow play when you can't find a ball in the rough. 5) There have been several long gaps where there is no restaurant or snack bar operating in the facility. As a long time Greer guy, I hope they can improve and make it a fun place for both members and beginners. I had to switch my membership to another course because I was frustrated.
