“If you're looking for a more laid back and "local" vibe to escape the big tourist traps then this is a good spot to check out on a weekday during happy hour. As others have mentioned, they're not currently brewing their own beer but they have a nice selection from breweries in the region as well as domestics and a liquor bar. The Taco Tuesday specials were delicious and live music was great.”

“I've been to this restaurant many times and the food has been consistently amazing. Love the environment and how the owner is very dedicated to the customers. The “coxinhas” are so delicious, like everything I have tried.”

“Never tried this kind of concept before and for my surprise it is really really good. I can definitely say that the veggies I had is fresh and from what I heard their saffron rice is imported from Spain and their homa made dressing is so good. Their staff is really friendly and welcomed us with a smile! Ambiance is very cozy and upscale too. Will definitely come back to try the rest of their specialty bowls. Amazing experience.”

“I saw this place just opened so I wanted to come check it out and the food was amazing! I definitely suggest the pad Thai! It doesn’t look like much food on the outside but when you open the door it’s a huge difference! I definitely suggest checking this place out!”

“I love this place. My waitress was Isabelle. She was awesome!! My friend and I went here last Sunday (9/17/23) after checking out of our hotel. We were on our last day of our vacation getting ready to head back home. I must say it was a great way to bring our vacation to an end. Everything there was lovely. The next time I travel to Myrtle Beach, I am definitely going to pay them a visit.”

“Wife and I spent a couple hours at the Apache Pier and decided to stop in Groupers for lunch. We were served by Miranda who was a fantastic waitress with great recommendations! On her suggestion, my wife had the blackened chicken. I had the blackened flounder, with bang bang shrimp as an appetizer. Washed down with 2 Blue Moons and our meal was under $60, and super delicous! We cannot wait to come back.”

“Cutest little coffee shop! The banana foster latte is literally the best latte I’ve ever had. I’m a coffee snob, so, that should tell you something. Super friendly staff & owners. Food was delicious, too. I’d pick the Megalodon Cafe over Starbucks any day ! Please open one up in Pittsburgh!”

“Nice new place. This area has grown soooo much. Stopped in after the grand opening and unfortunately they didn't have brisket that day with them being busy over the weekend. So I got a sandwich and mac n cheese. I stopped in today since I was in the area and got the brisket and collards. Prices seem a little high for what you're getting versus other places but it was overall good.”

“The food was excellent we had spaghetti and lasagna. Both were excellent! This may be the best Italian food in the area. Inside is nice but a little small. The bar service was par for the course. No imports on draft which is disappointing for me. They did have an Oktoberfest that was excellent. I ordered the 16 ounce but they said it only was available in 10 ounce which was weird. Overall the excellent food makes up for any short comings. They take reservations which is a big plus but hope they connect with open table its a lot more convenient. I will definitely be back and highly recommend to locals and tourists!”

“I was in town for a work trip when I stumbled upon Portofino Italian Kitchen, and let me tell you, it was an absolute gem! This place has hands down the most delicious Italian cuisine I've ever had in my life. From the moment I walked in, the whole experience was simply delightful - the service was top-notch, the drinks were fantastic, and the food was out of this world. The signature lasagna was so flavorful, leaving me wanting more. And you know what? The food was so amazing that I couldn't resist coming back the very next day to taste it all over again. To my delight, the consistency in both the service and food quality was spot-on. What made my visit even more special was the chance to meet the owner and his lovely wife. They treated me like family, showing me genuine hospitality. Trust me, this is the absolute best spot for authentic Italian cuisine in Myrtle Beach. It's an experience you don't want to miss out on. I'm already counting down the days until my next visit, eager to try their other delectable dishes!”

“I am new to the area and stumbled across this place about an hour and a half before they closed. The place was next to empty. The food was absolutely amazing and the cappuccino I got was fabulous. Instead of getting bacon or sausage I got the pork belly with my eggs, grits, and toast. And that was the best decision ever. The pork belly was amazing! And my server was super nice and checked in with me several times to make sure I had everything I needed. I will definitely be going back!!!”

“Great new addition to the area. Stopped on today for the soft opening and had the American Wagyu Slaw be Jo which was delish. Looking forward to stopping back in to try several other sandwiches on the menu. Friendly service even with it being a soft opening and very busy. They did a great job.”

“Coconut Charlie is on Homewood suites’ property with a cute little gift shop. I ordered a small plate takeout while we were staying at the hotel. Was Surprised to see they charge an additional fee for takeout. As a Hilton guest you get 10% discount on nearby restaurants and attractions but not here 🥹 so try dining in instead of a takeout. Anyways, coming to the food part, the boom boom shrimp with black sesame seeds were good and so was the coleslaw.”

“This is my favorite place in all of Myrtle Beach! I tried them from a suggestion on Facebook and have never looked back. The shakes are great and the teas are just amazing. But the owners are by far the best part! If you have a question or a need they can answer questions and give you suggestions about what would work well for you. I highly suggest you try them out and visit every time you are in Myrtle Beach! The Pretty In Pink is one of my favorites :)”
