“This was a surprisingly good homestyle Mexican restaurant. We originally thought this was a pizza place but when we got here we realized the Mexican food was their specialty. They do have pizza also. Service was friendly and attentive. We were just lucky to hit this place when we were traveling through. I highly recommend it. Everything seemed home made. “We love Gwen and Franny's!! We have been coming for over 7 years and their food is still as amazing as the first time trying it. The food is So Freaking Good!! And we love everyone who works there, they are all super sweet and will make sure your happy. We normally call in our order and once we say chicken fingers plate they ask if this is Jacob, they know us just by our order and always getting dinner. We can't say enough about Gwen and Franny's except everyone needs a little in their life, if you haven't tried it you are definitely missing some good home cooked southern food!!”

“My wife and I were traveling through on 95 and stayed in town for the night. We wanted to try something a little different for us, we found this place. What a spectacular find!! Fast friendly service the whole time. I had the fried whole fish and my wife had the taco salad bowl. I was reluctant at first but that changed when our waitress brought it to the table. The aroma alone will fill you up! The flavor was incredible, the fish was white and flaky with crispy skin. The beans are home Meade fresh, nothing out of a can here! My wife’s taco salad had a little to much cilantro on it for her but she liked it just the same. I would come back here again when we pass through and recommend you do the same, you won’t regret it..... by the way, our meal and drinks came to less than $29 total..... we spent more than that on a fast food lunch.”

“I have NO IDEA what the negative reviews in here are about. Stopped in, on the way home from Hilton Head, and had a great experience. The service was excellent, the order was correct(despite me changing my mind half way through) and the food was hot, including the fries! It's also not so clean anymore, especially the bathroom. There was dried hand soap in the bottom of the broken dispenser and no other source of soap. How do the employees wash their hands?
