Very delish sandwiches and coffee Some unique flavor combinations that really work well. Loved it. Also nice patio area to be outside.
A new favorite!!! Local Art in a Local Eatery with creative waffles and unique items, specialty coffees, smoothies, and more! Fur-friendly with just a fantastic vibe!! *** NOTE: QUICK easy Sunday post-game w/ no “2-hr wait” like most places surrounding!!! GO!! ***.
Great artistic atmosphere and good coffee. I also enjoyed a pastry. Plenty of nice outdoor seating and some inside too.
So... The Hideout is cool. Yummy and healthy food and drinks, really cool art, all the makings of a neat cafe. There is outdoor seating and some upstairs. This is a cool hangout and as a twenty-something, I can appreciate a lot about what this place has to offer. The thing is though, my family and I went to The Hideout for a birthday breakfast for my aunt and the service was strange. Everything was correct and quick but, kind of rigid. Bottom line is, when someone says "I've never been here before," it's cool to make some recommendations. That's why people still want local cafes and not Starbucks.
Don't get me wrong, the weather this morning was yucky and I can't entirely put an establishment down for one early morning but, birthdays should be special and this morning my family felt weird. However, if you want fast service, good prices, yummy food, and incredible artwork, The Hideout is an awesome spot.
An immaculate location in West Columbia... but they don't take advantage of it. The building itself is beautiful and well decorated, but the seats are uncomfortable and the coffee is just average at best. Ordered a cappuccino that turned out to be an overpriced disappointment. Much of the menu looks to be that way: overpriced and a bit lacking in quality. And judging by the smell in the restaurant during my time drinking my coffee, they were struggling not to burn the bread they were serving. While the food was disappointing, the location and aesthetic really are stunning (and the staff are friendly). It's a very weak 3 stars for me. 2.5 is more accurate. As the name suggests, this place should staff hidden.
