“I am not from the area but made a few mile detour to eat at Rica (10-12-2021). Very good food and great quality ingredients. I had a carnitas burrito bowl with several of my choices of ingredients and was pleasantly full. I had a large margarita which is a bit high in price (thus 4 of 5 stars on my visit). I also had a reasonably priced slice of cheesecake which I brought with me for a later dessert. Very simple but nice and clean restaurant with around 4 booths and around a half-dozen tables for 3 . Very nice place and I recommend it to anyone hungry for some great Mexican food.”

“Just went to Cox's BBQ today... Brother, it was good! I got the BBQ Macaroni & Cheese, and the Rib Plate with Potato Salad and Banana Pudding. Both meals were great (Yes, I ate both). The BBQ and Ribs were both tender, hot, and full of flavor. You get your choice of barbecue sauce with each meat plate. Or, you can keep it 'dry' with no sauce. The facilities are 'understated' to say the least. But don't worry, there's BBQ magic going on inside!”

“Super new place with military friendly staff and amazing military discount. Shrimp Po Bo and Fish Basket was absolutely delicious. The shrimp and fish were lightly breaded to perfection unlike some places where half your bite is breading. Collard greens were seasoned perfect with bacon. Cheese grits and Seasoned Fries were very good too. Food was served piping hot and FAST. Everything was spotless. Will definitely be back!”

“La Lonchera de Doña Luisa is open late, and some days she parks at the pulga (the flea market) but this is one of the few joints that stays open late for a quick (and delicious) street-food bite. Love the al pastor with a Mexican soda. The quesadillas are great and the tortas are good too. Doña Luisa is a new neighborhood gem on a street with a lot of good surprises (whata burger, the citgo gas station with "wraps" and WECO for beer).”
