In moving to a new area, it takes time to amass a personal list of favorite restaurants. In upstate SC this is especially a challenge with its too numerous fast-food chains, fried chicken & BBQ joints or one-off buffet establishments. Happily, we discovered Bake & Cook a few years ago. While the restaurant’s interior is bland its food is anything but. Instead, each dish is freshly prepared and carefully presented. The Thai centric menu is diverse and the food is always delicious and healthy! We are deeply appreciative patrons.

The food is phenomenal. My dad grew up in Thailand so he cooked Thai food for us quite often growing up, as did my grandmother, so for me Thai food is the equivalent of what southern comfort food is to most people, and this place definitely did not disappoint. The Pad Woon Sen is definitely worth trying, especially since many Thai restaraunts do not serve this amazing culinary gem.

Standard thai fare. Deliciously cooked. The wait staff was prompt and very courteous. If ever in the area then will definitely go back.

Had the Chicken Satay appetizer which had good flavor especially peanut sauce; could have done without the skewers. The pineapple fried rice with pork was delicious. Took a while to get food, but was worth the wait.
