Excellent service, food and atmosphere. We came in from out of town, after a day at the lake for Father's Day and our son's birthday. Our only disappointment is we do not live close. Thank you for finishing off the perfect day with a perfect meal.
Great food, great drinks, and great crowd at very reasonable prices. Come for happy hour and enjoy an appetizer or an entree. I like their lamb chops and seafood. Happy hour liquor is bottom shelf, but you can order top shelf liquor instead.
I have eaten here twice (so far) and each time the food has been phenomenal. The waiters and waitresses were always attentive and knowledgeable and the manager thanked us for coming each time. I would highly recommend coming to eat at the Blue Heron!
We went here with a large party who was visiting from out of town. Their cocktail menu is great, the bread with the selection of house butters was very good as well as the calamari. The flavor of the fried green tomatoes was good in flavor however they were not tender. It did take a bit for things to arrive at our table however it was not a ridiculous amount of time, I do like that they take reservations. I am hard to impress with spaghetti sauce and theirs impressed me, I highly recommend it. In short I would definitely go back.
Tip: If you plan on eating here during prime dinner time, I highly recommend calling and making a reservation.
The Appetizer: Let’s start with the bread and butters they bring out before your meal. Very tasty, the variety of butters is a nice touch and they are each worth a try. Also, be aware that the green pesto butter is made with nuts as we found out and should be avoided if you have a nut allergy.
The Sushi: The sushi is above par, although the rolls aren’t the biggest you’ll ever have. For the price I’d say they’re definitely good value though. Would definitely have it again.
Entrees: Of the entree’s I have tried, they have all been very good. When looking at the menu the prices may seem high, but I’d say they are on par with the quality of the food. Everything is cooked and seasoned well and won’t disappoint.
Drinks: Good selection of wines and decent selection of beers. This isn’t really a place you’d go for beer anyway so I feel like the small selection is expected.
Ambience: The ‘feel’ of the restaurant is fancier than most large sit down restaurants but it’s not over the top. The staff was friendly and service was fairly fast although it was not busy when I visited.
