Delicious food and housemade ginger drinks. Warm and inviting. Felt like I was visiting with family and not eating out at a restaurant.

The food is super tasty! Environment is so pleasant, and the people there are so delightful and accommodating. Love this place!

My family is visiting from Ohio. We had heard about this amazing family restaurant and was looking for something we had never tried before. The owner took his time and educated us all (4) on the foods and allowed us to sample each b4 purchasing. My 12 yr old was with us and loved the goat soup and goat stew. They even let us take pictures with them. The whole EXPERIENCE (atmosphere, food, staff, price) was awesome. This man (and staff) is so proud to teach you his culture, and I loved being part of it today. Thank you! Delicious!

I cannot render enough praise to Asanka! As first timers, we were greeted with an exquisite tasting of various West African foods; even with combinations that sounded disgusting, they obviously turned out to be delicious. The authenticity was very clear in the food, from the fried chicken to the tilapia to all the stews and soups. We were treated in such a kind and hospitable manner by the owners! Everyone, PLEASE support Asanka Kitchen; they cannot make it in Columbia without your help!

This place is amazing. Took a chance on a whim and glad I did. Service is incredible; the first time you go they give you a sample of everything to introduce you to W. African cuisine. Each sample is so delicious it's almost impossible to pick one.

It doesn't look like much from the street, but the dishes are delicious, servings are plentiful and the staff are extra friendly.

Unusual combinations to a Western palette, but they all taste fantastic. Plenty of dishes have nice spice levels if you like hot food, nothing too spicy though.

Take a chance, try something different. This place is great. Why aren't there more Western African restaurants like this around?
