I should start by saying this particular visit was a 5 but I'm giving a one time overall review in this. My server was nice and my food was great this time, but that is because I have learned what I do and do not like on the menu. Some of the items either were not my favorites from the beginning or it tastes like they changed something. Overall pretty good home cooked food for a decent price but you will have to learn the menu for yourself.

My spot when I want good down-home cooking. Love the fried flounder...nice and crispy...cooked just right and you get a decent portion.

It was okay. It's usually good but the one i ate at today wasn't that good. The food was cold and so was the muffins. I know which restaurants are the best and thats the ones i will go to next time.

I LOVE Lizards Thicket. I've been to several locations and never had an issue with food or service. However, I usually order the same thing every time. I know. Boring! Well, today I had lunch and I wasn't pleased with my usual. It really disappointed me. Beef stew over rice, mac and cheese and fried squash. Yum! The beef stew was very different. Very peppery and it had onions. I love onions but not in my stew. I am ????. What's going on? Meat was a little over cooked. Well. This is the first time I never liked it. I hope this isn't a new recipe. Hope not.

Lizard Thicket was good today! I had ground chuck with bell pepps, mushrooms and onions rice & gravy and two sides of squash casserole! My Mom had Chicken livers not fried really hard squash casserole and creamed corn! It wasn't bad at all! Palmer was a good waiter! He made sure to get what we ordered right! He made sure we were well taken cared of!!!
