Island Paradise Jamaican Restaurant

I think I'm spoiled now. This was the first time I had ever had Jamaican food. Always thought it was going to be super spicy, but it was just right. Went here with a friend and had the stew chicken with some ox tail. Couldn't stop eating long enough to even breath at first. The food is delicious. I had some stewed cabbage and plantains on the side. Not quite sure what a plantain is (haven't googled it yet!) but those things are awesome! Gonna try the curry fish next time.

Food is great! You can tell they could do with a few more people on staff at times but otherwise its a great experience. Oxtails, curried chicken, jerk chicken, and curried goat are all great as are the rice n beans and stewed cabbage and corn. The cabbage in particular is seasoned very well.

The food is among the best Jamaican food you will get in America. It's best if you call in your order though, because food can take a while to be served.

The food was absolutely AMAZING!!! I ordered the Stewed Fish (red snapper)with Collards and everything was seasoned very well. I will definitely be back.... Awesome customer service!!!

I've been looking for a Jamaican spot in my area and came across this listing. It has great reviews and i can verify that the great reviews are well deserved. The food is delicious and the portions are more than i expected. My lunch meal (large portion of curry goat and oxtails) turned into lunch and dinner. Authentic Jamaican food at a good price. I will be back. Be advised, this is not a fast food place so you may wait 10-15 minutes or more for your order once you place it. I will suggest calling ahead and placing the order if you are pressed for time.
