Barrio Tacos Columbia

We showed up on a Sunday around noon. The restaurant is uniquely decorated and very clean. The service was prompt and professional. Not sure if our server was new to serving but there were a few hiccups with her. My husband ordered a Coke and it was Pepsi. Doesn’t matter to him but I feel like some people would changer there order if they knew of the brand. We ordered the nacho appetizer and when she delivered it, she spilled the “juice” from it all over my husband’s leg, table and chair. You can choose from the specials menu, the regular menu or the build your own taco menu. The salsa roja is delicious, the chips are perfectly fresh with just enough salt. We ordered the trio appetizer …the pineapple salsa was really tasty but the bits should be cut smaller as it was really difficult to get on the chips. The queso blanco was very bland and honestly disappointing. The guacamole was mid-grade-I loved it, my son-in-law didn’t like it at all. The nachos had great flavor but the chicken on them tasted like canned chicken. The tacos were AMAZING. So flavorful and filling. You definitely need a fork but need to ask for one. I would highly suggest the establishment move away from the plastic baskets the tacos and nachos come it. The holes make a mess of the table and the patrons. The atmosphere is great. The decor is very unique. Will eat here again but won’t dress in my best clothes so I don’t drip from my basket. :)

Visited Barrio on a solo outing. Upon entry, I could tell it was very busy, but I had time to wait. I was immediately offered a seat at the bar. The server assisted me immediately and took time to explain the menu. I decided to try the LaTerra. When it first came, it wasn't very warm, so the bartender took it back immediately to have the order corrected. The beef was very tender and the flavors were EXCELLENT! I also ordered 4 additional to-go for my family. There is also outdoor seating available. A great option for a quick bite. Will certainly visit again.

Great choices in margaritas for the margarita flight! Very casual fun atmosphere! Only downside is the parking is limited, but it’s worth it for the price and the amount of food you get! Definitely worth trying!

The atmosphere is really nice we sat at the outside bar. We got the passion fruit margarita and the perfecto margarita they were delicious. We ordered the rice bowl with braised short ribs and I was not impressed at all. The amount you get is like an appetizer. I enjoyed the drinks a lot more. I will say the guacamole was on point and you get a lot.

Barrio is a Columbia SC jem! The food is top-tier authentic taco, creating at its finest. The staff is customer friendly, professional, and they wear unique uniforms. There drink selection has something for everyone, especially if you like tequila, whiskey and bourbon. The atmosphere is unique, clean, and memorable.
