The Gourmet Shop

My spouse and I love a lunch date her for great food followed by wine tasting on Saturdays. Great wine selection in the shop! They have food options on different diets, so easy to bring friends and family. Not many restaurants have such a sense of community, like this place. If you sit outside, dog watching is great!

This place never disappoints. Fall weather curbside tables. Excellent food. Great Deli. Crazy cheese selection. And any kind of gift for the home Chef. Chicken salad on croissant is to die for! Great for people watching.

Gourmet shop is one of our favorite Cola spots. The food and service are always great. Best chicken salad in Columbia, hands down! Whenever we're having a house party we like to stop in and pick up all the fixings for a killer charcuterie board. They have a ton of variety and will slice everything nicely for you.

Eating at Gourmet Shop is always a pleasure! Fresh and delicious food with plenty of traditional and unique options makes it a good choice for all types of visitors. Perfect to sit outside on a nice day or grab a table inside. Adhering well to physical distancing precautions inside and using digital menus.

I was in Columbia, SC for a business trip.
I did curb side pick up one Sunday morning due to social distancing purposes. From the outside the restaurant looked like it was poppin and I really wish it was non-COVID times. I would have loved to go in to experience the environment.
Anyway, I ordered the medium rare roast beef sandwich with a side of pesto pasta. I enjoyed the roast beef tremendously due to it it's juiciness. The medium rare temperature does it justice.
The pasta was tasty and had garnishes of pecan which worked very well with the flavor of the pesto.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for Sunday brunch or lunch any day.
