“Ask for Cameron! Amazing server. We walked in with 29 adults and kids after a baseball tournament. The staff absolutely killed it!. We called ahead, and they are ready for us. Set us up two nice long tables. Understood how to break up the order so that each family can pay their own checks, deliver the food quickly and we're patient with the kids. And the food was good. I personally had the shrimp fajitas which came out hot and it was a very nice size portion. My wife said four street tacos and love them. Kids food with standard fare., but they were happy. And a great bar. Next time we come, we are sitting outside.”

“This restaurant is located in the Food Lion shopping center. We were immediately greeted and brought to our table. Served chips and salsa. There is also a salsa bar available. The Carolina burrito is huge. You will not go home hungry. We also ordered the three item combination with the guacamole salad, chicken burrito, and Chile relleno. All was tasty. Will definitely be back.”

“I saw the sign go up a few weeks ago and I have been looking forward to it opening. I went today and it was great! You can build you own sushi burrito which it awsome! You can build your own bowl too. The salmon and tuna was great and the sauces where fantastic. The Gyonza was spot on too. “Tyler Shelton and his wife used to fish at Joe’s Lake when they were kids. Now, they’re the owners and have remodeled the building built in 1955, opening Shelton’s Smoking Butts BBQ and Catering, as well as trying to make the fishing lake more targeted at families with kids. Tyler had run a machine shop thru the week and a food truck on the weekends. He’s given both of those up to really focus on building Joe’s Lake back up. The menu is diverse, reasonably priced (Tyler dropped some of the prices based on better wholesale prices he’s getting), and generous with the helpings. We started with the Fried Pickles (16 with Ranch Dressing, $8) and Hushpuppies ($3) as appetizers- both were done perfectly and tasted great. For entrees, we moved on to the Brisket Plate with Rings and Loaded Baked Beans ($18), the meat was perfectly done with burnt ends and moist finish. All the sauces are served on the side and house-made, we preferred the original which has a bit of bite to it. The Smokehouse Burger Plate was incredibly thick, but done to order- we had to take half home. Both the Smokehouse Loaded Fries (house seasoning, topped with pulled pork, bacon, nacho cheese, bbq sauce and chives, $12) and Chicken Tender Plate ($12 includes two sides) were a hit with the younger folks in our group. Tyler also brought a sample of the wings ($15 includes two sides and drink) which were a very pleasant surprise- they were smoked perfectly with a taste that suggested they were brined, as well. In short, the brisket alone was worth a return trip, but the wings were even better! We enjoyed the fishing before lunch, though we only brought one large catfish to the shore. Keep in mind that the work on the original building, and the fact that it is a fishing lake with a restaurant, keeps it a bit of a rustic experience. Restrooms are clean, staff very friendly!”

“It's a new Starbucks, the staff is nice but might be very new at making Starbucks coffee. The frappes we ordered did not taste very good at all. They ran out of whip cream, they handed me a latte, instead of a frappe. The woman that made the order wrong did offer to correct it, but I told her it was okay, they did not have whip cream & wouldn't have been the same. Not the best Starbucks. I think the staff needs training on how to make the Starbucks coffee.”

“Nice spot for craft beer local and regional on tap or in coolers. So they have a small inside bar top and seating pub style tables and chairs. They also have wine and booze also. Couple good restaurants next door so u can grab a ta go and sit outside of the store on their sidewalk tables and be a true glutton. They also sell light snacks inside and sometimes do specials like a sandwich or something. They do wine tastings and it's real busy on Thursday for some reason. Most of the craft beers are pricey and come in four packs but worth it sometimes if you know what you like. They have deals on the stuff they can't get rid of.”
