Nice quiet tucked away restaurant. Serves lunch and dinner. Even prime rib on the weekends, which is hard to come by unless you go to a chain restaurant.
Family owned, all the sandwiches are well worth the price and very filling. They have done unique menu items you won't find elsewhere. Wish I went sooner. Personalized service.

Let me tell you I’ve been stationed at Shaw for almost a year and I wish I had known about this place when I came here. By far my favorite restaurant even better then most of Columbia. The staff was spectacular I saw a gentleman greet people by name when they came in which amazed me. I truly felt at home here. The food was amazing and fresh and very filling but not to heaving on the stomach. Will definitely visit again.

If you like to eat delicious food then this is the place for you. Even if you don't like delicious food the staff here embody Southern Hospitality, so you'll still have a good time. 10/10 must visit in Sumter!

When we first called and found out that they did season their greens with ham, we didn't go. But after reading the menu further, we did decide to try them the next day since my dad really likes fried green tomatoes. He thoroughly enjoyed them and with salads, deep fried squash, baked sweet potatoes & macaroni and cheese, we left full and satisfied.

An nondescript building houses an extraordinary restaurant and incredible bargain. Stopping overnight in Sumter on our way to Florida, we happened upon this place for dinner. What a find! We enjoyed a wonderful meal of Shrimp and Grits (we had the small portion which was very generous) and delicious hamburger pie. Both were classic Southern cooking done to perfection, and the price? We couldn’t believe it. It was that reasonable.
