Crabby Shell's Seafood Shack

Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere. Did not expect to find a place like this in Pierre. Nice view of the River! Every time we have come the service has always been quick and the staff have been friendly. The food might be a little on the spendy side but that’s the price you pay for seafood in SD. Will definitely be adding it to our list of regular spots!

Last year I gave them 3 stars and said they had a lot of factors working against them. After visiting them a week into year 2, I can comfortably say they have made some enormous improvements. The food was delicious, wait time was reasonable, and the portion size is much more bang for your buck than last year. Their drinks came out very well made and are similarly prices to other locations around town.
If you were disappointed last year they definitely deserve another chance this year. If they keep it up they'll be a staple for the summer season.

These reviews are way too harsh. This place was excellent. Atmosphere is exactly what a place in Pierre should be - the views can’t be beat. Food was great too. These are the best fries in Pierre. Why isn’t there indoor dining?
