We stayed in a pull through spot. It is a spectacular location in the forest! I am so grateful to not be parked next to a highway. We have walked trails morning and night. Wild turkeys walking by in the morning and evening. Restaurant wasn't open at the lodge due to owner change and early season. UTV rentals right here for enjoying the trails.
We travel the country full-time and have friends in this area. Mystic Hills is a very nice campground. We were here at the end of the season so things were more quiet than usual. They rent side-by-sides and have a bar & grill on site. The staff was great.
First time ever renting at Mystic. Great experience! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Not everyone in our group had used UTVs before, but they did a thorough job explaining the equipment and how to read the trail signs. Also appreciated that they were thorough with fitting the younger ones in our group for proper fitting helmets.
We chose to rent for a half day (4 hours). We didn’t get through as much trails as staff recommended for a half day, but realize that probably had more to do with the fact that we had young kids in our group and made frequent stops/weren’t as familiar with the trails. If you are a newbie, we would definitely recommend the full day instead.
We all had a great time and would definitely rent from them again!
very fun! my wife and i rented a utv for the day and it was a blast! We took our dog with us, we thoroughly enjoyed our adventure through the trails and being able to go to the top of custer peak was amazing! definitely will be back to try different trails. the staff was extremely helpful with the machine and the trails, they had ours ready and waiting for us when we arrived. no complaints!
My family and I spent 3 nights here last week while exploring the area. The campground is easy to find and maintained very well. Shower houses were clean, the lodge was fantastic, and the staff were so friendly and full of info. Access to SXS trails right from the campground was incredibly convenient. The only downside was there was no cell phone signal for us, as we are Verizon users. This proved very difficult, as we were not familiar with the area and could not use our GPS. Wifi would be a great option to offer! We really enjoyed our stay here and will be back should we find ourselves in the area again.
