“Sweet folks at this restaurant serves good foods. We normally cook because our food is great, but fellow campers said there food was delicious. They were right! We've had 3 tasty breakfasts here-- chicken fried steak with gravy and eggs, fresh trout, and biscuits and gravy. We don't normally eat trout, but they showed us how to debonair it, and it was amazing! We haven't had dinner here, but it's always busy.”

Recreational Springs Resort

Address: 11201 US-14A, Lead, SD 57754, USA

Restaurant

“We stopped in for food and fuel. Food was fine, except I need to remember their fries are those icky breaded ones. Service was good and attentive. It felt like a real treat using the card station to buy gas. So easy and less stressful then everywhere else. Just wish the west part of 5 to get their had not been so extremely rough. We left going east and it was like night and day, nice and smooth trail. They said getting groomed again that night, but we’ll be avoiding it for the rest of our trip, and possibly the upcoming weekends we have planned to be here. So… long story short to get to Rec Springs you might want to come in from the south/east trails.”

Cheyenne Crossing

“We went back and forth about eating here and I’m really glad we decided to get something to eat. Our waitress, I can’t remember her name, was awesome. They only had 2 waitresses and ours had 9 tables. But she kept up with no problems. She had a great personality. I had the breakfast burrito and my husband had eggs. Both were really good. If in the area I’d definitely recommend stopping for breakfast.”

Sugar Shack

Address: 22493 US-385, Deadwood, SD 57732, USA

Restaurant

“Excellent place!! Pictured is the patty melt which was very good. They were able to accommodate our big group of about 10! Would recommend I would suggest not getting the grilled ham or cheese or the grilled chicken…. The grilled ham and cheese did not have enough cheese and the grilled chicken sandwhich was the size of a credit card. Stick with the burgers and fries”

Trailshead Lodge

Address: 22075 US-85, Lead, SD 57754, USA

Restaurant

“Amazing base for snowmobile riding. The owners couldn't have been nicer to me making sure I was well cared for. I felt they took care of me more than the several hundred other visitors who were not staying with them. Everything was clean and professional. This location is central to the riding trails so I was never that far from fuel & food. A plus was I felt the truck/trailer parking was very secure and I was able to park my sled out of the way 1 step from the cabin. They do have wifi at the restaurant so you are able to check in with work/family quite easily. Thank you for a great first time experience.”
