Alpine Inn

2 item's on the menu, 1 steak and 1 veg option. Simple. Huge desert and wine list. Awesome awesome awesome food. Fantastic service. We were visiting Mount Rushmore and were informed this was THE place to eat. A must if you are in the area, exceptional value for money.

The Alpine Inn Restaurant was amazing! Authentic German food was the best I've ever had. Servers were so nice and friendly with excellent customer service skills. But, truly the food is first class with generous portions. I wish I lived closer, I would eat there all the time! Delicious!!

Dinner at the Alpine Inn is one of the most unique and terrific experiences I've found in the Black Hills. There are very few restaurants that get everything right, but the Alpine does each and every time. Their German dishes are absolutely fantastic. I've enjoyed both lunch and dinner at the Alpine (multiple times), and you just can't go wrong. Be prepared to wait, but you'll find it's well worth your time!

This review is about the restaurant experience. The extremely limited dinner menu has allowed them to absolutely perfect their craft. Fantastic food for fantastic prices, a nice homey interior, and amazing deserts.

The lunch choices are more traditional German dishes, all of which are fantastic. The servers are always attentive.

I am however deducting one star for only accepting legacy forms of payment in 2022. I'd be willing to pay an extra dollar or two to be able to pay with a card.

Great place to stay with comfortable rooms and amazing food! Beautiful place to relax after a long day of adventuring!

(Only taking off a star on location because the outside stairs to get into the "inn" part of the Alpine Inn are pretty steep and could definitely be risky if icy. No problems for us whatsoever, but if you're not good with a lot of stairs then this might not be your best option.)
