Pulled pork was super yummy…love the real cut French fries. My soda didn’t taste right but owner was real nice about changing it. Hubby thought his chicken was a little over done but still ate it, waiter took some off the price without us even saying anything, which was nice but truthfully we weren’t gonna complain. My daughters chicken strips were tasty too. Service was quick but kind of wondered why they were bringing food in from outdoors and realized the kitchen was upstairs. Wasn’t sure about that but food came quickly enough that the temp was still quite warm.
All of us had burgers from the menu. The food was fine; prices are slightly elevated but likely because it's a tourist town. Service was excellent. We ate outside on the covered patio deck, which I'm glad we did. The inside dining area on the second floor looks like it could use some work; the floors also felt greasy and slippery. Seemed like they could do some work to freshen up the place a bit. Also, the breeze came off the outdoor dumpster from the street which let in some pungent odors.
Overall, if you're in need of a good meal off the main drag, this is the place to go. Just don't count on the ambiance of the restaurant area being incredibly pleasant for a family dine-in.
I was hesitant to try Barlee's after reading a few reviews but I wanted to try it for myself. I went mid afternoon and there were a few groups eating on the outdoor patio. I ordered the Reuben and fries and it was very good. It was a little slow to arrive (25 minutes) considering the time of day and that I only ordered a sandwich but I want in a hurry and i really enjoyed the food when it arrived. The bartender/waiter was polite and attentive.
