This place has amazing food. I had buffalo ribs which were falling off the bone and I didn't need the knife. I only used it to hold it down to tear a piece off or slather on bbq sauce. My husband has the buffalo nachos.
Now one of the interesting things was they didn't serve alcohol. The Red Garter Saloon attached though did, and came into Ruby House to take orders.
The decorations were really unique. Kinda a burlesque feel to it with the red velvet mixed with the old west cowboy decor.
Second time here in 14 years. It hasn't changed at all. Like time stood still. We even sat at the same table which we found amusing. It is a little pricey for what you get but the food is delicious. The elk burger has fantastic flavor and the mash potatoes tasty homemade.
Nice historical place built on top of a trestle that used to carry water to the Harney Hydraulic Gold Mining Company. Right on top of Grizzly Bear Creek. Well kept interior. Good food and friendly service. Sit inside with good AC or on the boardwalk and watch the world go by. Five stars.
Love the vibes here. The menu has many different options. The history and antiques in here are wonderful. The staff is friendly and super helpful. Plus it’s not that spendy. For one I spent about 26$ for lunch.
I got take out while staying at a nearby hotel that I could walk into keystone downtown area from. The downtown is super cute and this restaurant looked super cute. I got the Buffalo ribeye medium rare which was new to me. Super delicious and very good asked potatoes and gravy. Even had a flag on it. I also got the chocolate lave cake but did not take a picture because I warmed it up and ate it as a late night snack. Very delicious. Only complaint is getting steak and having only a very weak plastic knife. I would love to see a better plastic knife option for steak take out orders but besides that very good.
