Bell Buckle Cafe

I absolutely love downtown Bell Buckle. Everyone is so friendly and the stores and restaurants are a real treat! If you haven't been, all it takes is a day and you too will be in love 💕

Such an amazing place for sides. The list of side dishes for your meal is crazy and most come with their own special condiment. I had the greens which were perfectly cooked and seasoned as well as the beans and grits. All were outstanding. I had the Swiss steak meal which was a bit more like pot roast than other Swiss steak I've had but still top notch and tender. On our visit the wait was only 20 minutes even though there were many large groups in front of my party of 4. Good place to eat, good prices, wait wasn't too bad. I'd certainly come back but it's probably not worth a special trip from Nashville but fantastic if you're coming to or back from George Dickel just down the road.

The scalloped and well worn front step is a good sign. A beautiful and fit hostess greeted me and led me to a seat with a table covered by a red checked tablecloth. A fresh and clean menu offered a wide variety of lunch options. Reasonable prices! Hot coffee and water appeared immediately and I quickly selected a 4 vegetable plate. Too often small town diner veggie plates are simply green mush or brown mush, but not here. Each vegetable is served hot in its own dish and was recognizable and uniquely flavored. A small cornbread pancake finished the plate. Delicious and pleasant dining. The place filled with customers as I enjoyed my meal. $12.38

SO WORTH THE DRIVE!
This cafe is just over an hour from my home. We decided to drive out cause we had heard their dessert was great.
We were not disappointed! The hardest part was deciding what to have from their huge menu of scratch made offerings. Pork chops and meatloaf won with as many sides as we could get. EVERYTHING was so good I thought about slapping my momma. True standouts were the mains (how can you not have one of those) and the carrot souffle- trust me, you NEED to have this.
Then, time for dessert. Y'all... if you don't read anything else...

This is the best little town we've visited... although these wonderful people have big hearts and love their home town. The food was amazing!! Each shop I loved 😀. I couldn't have picked a better place to spend my day. Something for everyone. We will be back!!!!
