Deacon's New South

We had great steaks and service. Wine selection was one of the best we’ve seen in awhile. Strip steak was excellent and cooked just right. Only reason not a 5 star is ambience. Very nice setting, but just not that special a room. This was the WHOLE beef rib braised to fall off the bone tender. Very nice serving size. I had the NY strip which was cooked to perfection. Last but not least “Alora” was our server and she was delightful. She knew the menu well. She was attentive at just the right times and we would most definitely ask for her again. There are so many gr8 fine dining restaurants in Nashville now. Deacon’s is now one of our new faves. We WILL be back.

We were recently in Nashville on a weekend getaway and can't say enough good things about our experience. The facility is beautiful, wait staff outstanding, food excellence and atmosphere exactly what we wanted. Would absolutely recommend and will be back! FYI the portion sizes are pretty large so take that into account when ordering for yourself or to share with a partner.

Very Nice server! We arrived a little late with no issue. No valet so come a little early. Decent selections of wines by the glass, great selection of bourbons. Every day drinkers and some unicorns. Food over all was good and well presented. My dry aged Strip was tasty but a little past medium, but still a good steak.
Over all the pacing of the food was a little slow for my taste but probably is intended that way. Over all a really good meal.

Absolutely amazing! The entire visit was so enjoyable, great atmosphere and service was awesome. I had the dry-aged short rib over sweet potato mash and creamed collards, it was wonderful. My husband had the shrimp and grits and he loved the dish, though it was one of the best shrimp and grits he has ever had. The couple with us shared the 20 oz.dry-aged Porterhouse; beautiful presentation and meat was so tender and flavorful! Finished the meal with an apple brown Betty that was insanely delicious! Thank you Deacon's for making my birthday extra special!

Do yourself a favor and try the dinner menu here. From the time you walk in you receive smiling faces and superb service. We tried the gulf prawns, roasted cauliflower, seared diver scallops, and the porterhouse steak and everything was delicious!!

They serve on a rotation, and each person we interacted with was gracious and made some great recommendations. If can’t wait to try brunch next!
