We were craving Pho and ESP was the closest. I was initially impressed with the smell and appearance, but the broth was underwhelming. I’m a huge Pho fan and I’m not sure if these guys are trying to put their own spin on Pho broth, but it didn’t have a rich flavor like traditional Pho broth, maybe they didn’t simmer long enough with enough ingredients… it tasted very watered down. All that being said, the beef had a good flavor and noodles were great. I had meatball as well, but again, I think they were trying to put their own spin on it. They didn’t taste like any Vietnamese meatballs I’ve ever had. They tasted like just rolled up ground pork, not much consistency or flavor.
All in all, the place is pretty cool and most people probably wouldn’t know the difference if they aren’t Pho-natics lol next time I’ll probably find an authentic Pho kitchen.
Okay now that’s what I’m talking about! The portions for carry out are great and fairly priced, not to mention delicious! We had the chicken, beef and kids pho. The order was ready on time, accurate and there were no surprises. Everything was marked so that we knew what went with what dish. We will be returning to ESP!
Where do I begin? Atmosphere was amazing, I love that you sit outside but if you need a restroom they are close by and very clean. Food was phenomenal, filling, tasty and a beautiful presentation. Will be back for sure. 12/10 recommend!!
Mostly gluten free menu if you skip the hoison sauce. Rice noodles and spicy pork were the dish I had. The limeade was delicious. The pho was very spicy for my companion but not for me. They even had boba pearls to add if you wanted. Eat it there on the beautiful patio or take it home to go.
Was really happy to see this spot open up recently. Having had their pho at their popups at East Side Banh Mi, I was super excited to check out their official new location. As expected, it lived up to the hype. Love the outdoor space and really looking forward to dining there more as the weather gets better. I had it previously but the short ribs are a WONDERFUL addition to any pho dish that is ordered. Can’t wait to see this spot continue to grow!
