This place is a pretty good combination of your typical east Nashville restaurant and your typical Mexican restaurant. Those combined though create something not so typical. El Fuego has a smaller menu than all the other Mexican places, they focus on offering a smaller amount at better quality than casting a wide net. And for a pretty comparable price.
This is my fair warning though: it does get very busy and because of that you will wait for a table or your food or both. However, the quality of their product, for me, has been unaffected. It's worth waiting for.
My girlfriend says that their Margaritas are both delicious and strong.also, I have not been able to try their brunch menu yet, but they offer it every day until 4 p.m. and I definitely will be trying it soon.
The food here was pretty good. I got the carnitas street tacos. The restaurant was loud and packed which isn't really my style but if you're feeling social it's great. Staff was really friendly and received great service even with a full house.
Definitely the best Latin food in Nashville! Fresh margaritas, great quality food, along with some great brunch options too! I personally recommend this place to everyone and will continue to do so! Get the Al Pastor Tacos and a House Margarita, you won’t regret it!
My favorite Latin American restaurant by far!! Ownership and staff are all incredibly nice and accommodating. The fresh margaritas are affordable and SO delicious (they definitely beat rosepepper IMO). The food is also delicious, and the salsa is fresh and the perfect amount of cilantro and chopped ingredients. I love this place and I’m glad it’s in east Nashville. There can be a wait, and it can get loud inside but if you plan ahead for that or eat on a week night, you’re good to go!
