Josephine

Just enjoyed another fabulous meal at Josephine! I have been there for dinner three times, and it was excellent each time. It really is a hidden gem, and I need to make a point to go here more often. We ordered the heirloom tomatoes and sugar snap peas to share, and both were very fresh and tasty. My grilled hangar steak was cooked perfectly, and my husband loved his swordfish. We splurged on a special apple cobbler for dinner and it was incredible and worth every calorie! Our server was very attentive and helpful. I like the vibe in the restaurant and the fact that the tables aren't on top of one another. Don't forget to grab some molasses cookies they have by the hostess stand as you leave. This is definitely a place I would come to celebrate a special occasion, or to take an out of town guest. The food is always delicious!

Beautiful setting and trendy neighborhood. Had the Winston cocktail which was a good bourbon based old fashioned drink. Had the beef tongue; good flavor with the caramelized onion. Though I expect the beef tongue to be slices instead of shredded. I would be more impressed if it was sliced and sear. Scallop was perfectly cooked but the okra was a bit overcooked which was hard to chew. Overall great place but not blown away.

Always a gem on 12S. I've never had a bad meal here. Summer menu was loaded with veggie dishes so delightful this last visit I didn't order anything else and I'm a carnivore. Always a fan of the scallops, and they always have wonderful cocktails. A can't miss but get reservations.

My husband and I went today for lunch. We sat at the bar and ordered lunch. The food was amazing. The service was great! Atmosphere was awesome. Totally recommend.
