This place is a treasure. The best Korean food I've ever had.
Wonderful ambiance, great service as well as delicious food. The menu has lots of choices from soups, salads and sushi.
Great Korean and sushi! They had awesome vegetarian and vegan options. The soft tofu soup was really tasty and spicy (as it should be). Will be coming back.
The miso soup was rich and delicious. The calamari was tender and fried perfectly with light breading.
The beef bulgogi and sauteed shrimp were both divine. They had sold out of the scallops, so we will be back to try those. I do not agree with previous posts about the entrees. What we had were plenty tender and cooked just right. The sauces on our entrees were delicious, especially the sauteed shrimp.
We are regulars at Mr. Choo's Samurai on Elliston Place. His wife, Christie has done and amazing job with this new place. Prepare to be patient as they work out minor kinks that go along with opening a new place, but definitely come check it out! I know that we will be back for sure.
I’m being very generous with 4 stars because overall the food quality was a 3 but I’m hoping it’s due to them being newly open and they’re still working on perfecting the recipe. We had a few apps that were tasty but the main dishes lacked inspiration. My recommendation to the chef- Please don’t take short cuts by boiling the chicken in the bibimbap and don’t mix up the dish at the table as a ‘show’. The bulgogi was dry and so was the bibimbap BUT you did a nice job with the seafood pancake and jalapeño bomb. They were tasty. Service was good too.
