Easily the best bbq brisket in Nashville. I've been disappointed the 6 years I've lived here with the Nashville barbecue scene, but this place is great. I have not tried the other meats yet but am looking forward to trying everything!
Good Stuff! I stopped in right before closing, so options were limited but that didn't stop these guys from serving up some delicious smoked chicken and great potato salad. Very friendly staff, too. I look forward to trying out the rest of their menu.
So so so good. You have to try this place. As a Texas native, this is the real deal. Mac and cheese is amazing. Brisket is so tender with so much flavor. The sauces are to die for. The magic green beans? Truly magic. The sausage was perfect. Everything was awesome. And Bill (THE shotgun Willie) was there cutting our meat and serving us. He was a great dude and the food was killer. These Texans will absolutely be back!!
Finally, real Texas Barbecue. The Brisket is so tender you can cut it with a plastic fork. I prefer it a little more lean but the fat is what makes it so tender. Magic green beans were great. The baked beans are not your typical baked beans but packed with loads of flavor and a little on the spicey side. The sweet cornbread was a good addition to the plate. Being from Texas and having helped with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Bar-b-que Cook Off, I know good Barbecue and SGW's has got it together. I will definitely be back.
A little pricey, but great food. They make small-ish batches, so come early if you want to make sure they haven't run out of what you want.
