TKO

We heard from various places that TKO was good and we decided to dip our toes in by ordering takeout. We got the TKO chicken and garlic rice. The food was ready right as I arrived and was piping hot when I took it home. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portions were just right for my wife and I to split these dishes and get full but not "immediately take a nap" kind of full. The chicken was very good. Flavorful and tender, the sauce stuck to each piece of chicken really well and without a cornstarch coating that makes it heavy. The peanuts were a great texture and spice addition. The rice had a certain toothiness that indicated it was cooked just right and was incredibly flavorful. The scallions added a light flavor as well as the garlic. Overall, I would absolutely order this again and am excited to dine in next time. Especially after a brief conversation I had with the chef when picking my food up. He was very kind and clearly excited about what he was cooking as I think he should be.

The service was great, the food was great. The atmosphere is lacking and while the food was good, they could work on the plating and presentation. It felt a little like a college student hang out.

TKO is SO SO good. A hidden gem. So delicious. Never busy. Never disappointed. I'm tempted not to leave a review so it remains a hidden gem...! ;) Oh, and for the record, I do not enjoy typical Chinese food; these dishes are done in such a fresh and flavorful way! Not too heavy!

How am I just now going to this place!?!? It was fantastic! AND they are gluten free sensitive! We didn't have to wait to get a table for 6 Friday night either. The server said they do a lot of carry-out orders so they rarely have a wait. The cocktails are good too! No wait with great food and drink? Sign me up! I'll be back soon!
