We showed up at 9:34 PM on a Friday night, which was 26 minutes before close. The wonderful ladies of the Sunflower Cafe took the time to explain the menu to us and provide us with samples. They were very patient and happy, which seems to be a rare occurrence in any restaurant out here when you show up 30 minutes before close.
On top of that, the food was awesome. I’ve been looking for a healthier spot that’s open late, and I’m so bummed that I found this place at the end of my stay in Nashville.
Thank you to the Friday Night Crew. You guys were great. I love you. -

(August 9, 2019, 4:20 pm)I’m so glad that Sunflower Cafe exists. Sometimes I forget about them, and I haven’t been in way too long, but I went for lunch yesterday and it smelled SO GOOD in there. Everything I ordered was beyond delicious, and the people working there are super friendly and accommodating. This is exactly the kind of local business that I want to make a point to support. Good, healthy, food and you can get in and out pretty quickly for a week day work lunch.
There are way too few options for healthy and ethical eating on the south side of Nashville right now. -

(July 4, 2019, 5:29 pm)Delicious vegan food in a casual cafeteria-style setting. Different specials every day with some menu staples that are AMAZING. You can choose between set plates, or order sides and salads from the line. Prices are pretty good and portions are generous, with a great selection of health drinks and ethical food choices. Gets busy around lunch, but usually a super quick place to get an amazing plant-based meal!

(June 10, 2019, 6:27 pm)Can’t say enough positive things about Sunflower. The food is always amazing, the specials are excellent, the staff is friendly. I simply adore this place. Do yourself a favor and try the Southwestern salad.
