“Was a let down from last year. We couldn't wait to be here again only to be disappointed . After of the first pass of morning leftovers we waited to see if they would refill. Finally after a good 15 minutes of nothing we asked if more was coming . There were some people coming in and still nothing . Waitress said she would ask the cook to make us more. Like we were only people eating! For the price you would think they would keep bar stocked! And diners not have to ask. Waitress was very nice but never pffered refill of any drinks. Overall kind of a big let down.”

“You have absolutely got to come and try out this country restaurant. The all-you-can-eat catfish and the Tuesday night quail special was great. Do you like something alcoholic to drink tuck it into a nice little paper bag and bring it in and it'll be nice enough to help you out from there. Definitely try the slaw and the pepper jelly and finish it off with the Bananas Foster. Enjoy.”

“This was a great dinner my wife and I had! I have never eaten a steak at Shoney's before. For dinner I ordered the rib eye. WOW, I was very pleased with the flavor of it. It was prepared how I had asked for. I know where to go to get a great steak. The 2 waitresses that waited on us were very nice, courteous and provided great service.”

“Delightfully tacky, great food. Didn't get a steak as I was intending to, but made a BIG meal out of the appetizer sampler platter (included cheese sticks, cheese curds, about a dozen fried oysters, a skewer of shrimp and fried pickles, $22), a shrimp & crab ravioli ($10), a full pound of Snow Crab legs ($20), and a couple brews. They brought out some deliscious hush puppies with a very nice honey/butter. All the food was prepared perfectly. Wife was a little sensitive to some of the spice, but she still loved it. I think it was the marinara that had the spice(Ravioli and sampler platter came with the Marinara,) although for me (I love heat), didn't even notice it had any noticeable spice. I was also surprised to see such a crowd for a Thursday evening. A variety of folks from seniors to 20 somethings, and a few teens. Probably not the best place to take a very young family. Nothing on tap for brews, but a few of my bottled favorites, as well as a small selection of wines, whiskeys, vodkas. Overall, a fun and tasty experience that didn't have me feel like I had to drain the bank account. Will definitely be back, especially on special occasions.”

“Choosing Events on Main for my son's rehearsal dinner was an excellent decision. Sharon (owner) was extremely professional and responsive to emails and texts. Even though I live 500 miles away, she was very easy to work with, and answered all my questions quickly. The venue is so nice and I had several guests tell me how cool and unique they felt is was. Even though you cannot bring in your own alcohol, they ran a bar for me, and the drink prices were extremely reasonable. They were even able to give me recommendations on a caterer and decorator. Do not hesitate to book the venue!”

“I recently got a to go order. I ordered a cheese burger, chicken salad sandwich. My side choices were coleslaw, fries and fresh fruit . The cheese burger was over cooked. It was obvious that it was cooked on a open flame grill. But that's all you could taste. The chicken salad sandwich was the worst I have ever had. The best thing about my order was the slaw and the fresh fruit. I can't believe that people actually rave about this place. They are also a bit pricey. I say save your money and go elsewhere.”
