Clinch Mountain Lookout Restaurant

Wow! The memories brought back every time I visit. Hadn't been there for many years since I live in Wyoming. Used to make a vacation of it driving with my folks when we lived in Baltimore, I was very young.
Had looked forward to a visit on the mountain and happily found the restaurant still going strong tho I do miss the bears.
Had another great meal and a slice of the vinegar pie, the pie is always good!
Looking forward to another visit this summer. Must stay in touch with all the cousins living in LaFollette. Would love to stay in one of the cabins this time. Such a clean place and the best people there, everyone is so friendly!
If you get the chance, stop for a visit. Breathtaking views from Clinch. Take pictures for sure. Wonderful time, just can't say enough about the visits. Takes me back to happier times. Pure fun! Wishing the best to the folks in the restaurant!!

Definitely one of the best restaurants that I had eaten at in a while. I ordered a plain cheeseburger with a side of potato chips, and it was amazing. They melted the cheese on the patty just right, the buns were relatively soft-textured, and the chips were one of the best parts because they actually make their own potato chips. Most places I have ate at where they serve homemade potato chips, didn’t prepare them right, but this place makes them truly perfect! On top of the amazing food, the staff was very nice and polite. All in all, this is just a great restaurant to dine at.

Neat old place with awesome views of the mountains and Clinch River, vinegar pie and pecan pies are very good, chocolate pie wasn't good. They have some small rental cabins with great views. They are small, perfect for two people, the ones with a heart shaped jacuzzi tub are $89 per night, one without that tub is $79. They do have bluegrass music on Friday night. If you want to get away from town this is a great spot.

A fun, family-run place to stop and eat. The menu is simple but delicious. They have live music on Fridays. Make sure to try the signature vinegar pie. Not only does it have a cool story behind it, but it actually tastes pretty good too.
