They were very nice. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, so that let us have the big table and make slime. Aaron was super helpful and patient. Also very stylish.
Wow! This place is amazing. We came in town from Atlanta and were so impressed with the food, atmosphere, and service. The steak and eggs, shrimp and grits, and the fancy yogurt were all delicious! They had live music that you could hear both inside and outside and we enjoyed watching the dogs at the park across the street. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town.
I love this place, especially for brunch on Sundays. They have a great cocktail menu; it's pretty standard, with just enough touches of originality in their recipes to set them apart without being too quirky. The architecture is absolutely beautiful, and I wish I had some pictures to post. Oh! Also their parking lot/driveway is semi-permeable, which is an awesome ecological feature that I wish more businesses would incorporate. All around, a great experience.
My wife and I went for Sunday brunch on 9/15. My wife ordered the BLT and we shared it. It was the best BLT we have ever had. The green tomatoes were wonderful. They gave it a great flavor. The bread was excellent. We will definitely have the BLT again
I love Flying Squirrel! I have had many great experiences there, and today was no exception. We were greeted warmly and got to sit upstairs in the comfy seats. My husband and I were excited to have a nice brunch with our (almost) 3 year old. I was even more excited when I saw that there was live music because he loves guitars. Well, one song in, he decided it was too loud. This was no fault of the sound system - it was the perfect level. He's very sensitive to sounds. The hubs and I were going to tag team covering his ears whole the other tried to scarf down some delicious food. Then, out of nowhere, Max appears with ear plugs in hand. He had gone next door to grab some because he saw a need and went the extra mile to meet it. Brunch was saved! All three of us were able to enjoy our special time together. Never underestimate the value of kindness.
