El Jinete Mexican Restaurant

Yesterday I lost a bet, and had to buy lunch. I chose El Jinete, because it’s 1 of the 2 places I have been with decent food since I have moved to the area 2 months ago.

When we placed the order over the phone I had my co-worker do so. He speaks Spanish fluently.

I arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes later to find out we ordered at a different location. The gentlemen promptly called Athens location to cancel the order and remade it at the Ooltewah location.

The food was fresh, good, and fast!

Overall a pleasant experience, and my co-workers enjoyed the tacos!

Great food, very clean but our server was not friendly at all. No smiles, no greeting, zero verbal interaction. We still love this place.

First time eating here. Food was wonderful. Portions were an enormous amount. Prices were decent. It took about 5 minutes before our waiter came over to get our drinks and then had to wait a few for a refill. Other than that, phenomenal! Definitely recommend.

Good salsa and the chips tasted homemade. Food came quickly and the lunch specials are week ???? Our waitress was friendly and several managers were visible and checking on customers too. They also have nice outdoor seating.

It’s hard to find good Mexican food in Chattanooga/Ooltewah area. I will definitely say this place is a good place to eat.
They have great service. My food came out delicious and we didn’t have to wait too long.
