“Always love eating here. Good atmosphere, friendly people. On mother's day I took my mother there to eat and the staff gave us each a long stemmed rose for the occasion. I thought that was a thoughtful and kind gesture. The food is always good. I didn't like the ginger dressing on the salad, which I love at Misos, but then they told me they could use yum yum sauce and it ended up being really good!”

“I dont eat enough real BBQ to give it 5 stars, but being from Connecticut, and everybody from Paris that I talked to, told me that this was the place to go, so I went! It was great. I had the brisket meal with baked beans, and mashed potatoes with cornbread. The brisket was awsome, I used the mild sauce to dip it. The baked beans were out of this world, the mashed potatoes were unreal! I could eat this every day! Staff was super friendly. My friend has the 1/2 chicken with baked beans, and peach cobbler. No complaints from him as he was busy eating and not talking!”

“Best mexican food in Paris. The staff is really friendly and they're always busy. My family is pretty large and we can all eat and leave full for around $65! Great food, friendly staff, drinks from the bar are pretty good, not diluted at all..., prices are decent! The only negative is that with such a value they are so busy that sometimes the atmosphere is quite loud. I wouldn't recommend this place for a romantic evening out, you might get seated near a large group of rambunctious children that are screaming and yelling and parents aren't taking control... we asked to be relocated to another area last time, much quieter, enjoyable evening. Sunday afternoon buffet is a great value and you can get plenty to satisfy your hunger. Guacamole is delicious...”

“I have lived here I for almost 2yrs now and I had never been here before. That mistake will not be made again! My sister was in town and wanted to get a steak or buffet so we decided to stop in on Monday afternoon. We were greeted immediately by the hostess Gail and seated right away. Our waitress was Jasmine who was impeccable! Personally I am not a big fan of buffets but ordered it anyway along with my sister and I was blown away!!! The lettuce at the salad bar was fresh and crisp and every thing was spotless. On the hot food side everything was fresh and HOT and seasoned. I watched as the person tending to the food constantly rotated the food out so every thing was always fresh and hot. I was so impressed that will be making it a point to go there at least once a week or more! I couldn't even feed myself at home for the cost. My new favorite place !”

“This has always been one of my favorite casual Seafood venues so I was thrilled to find one in my new state. The atmosphere and staff were clean and bright. I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner and my friend ordered the fish dinner. The food was served perfectly as ordered, with such ample amounts that we both got a doggy bag for take home. They have expanded their menu to include tilapia and catfish, baked instead of fried as well. I recommend Captain D's to anyone who wants a quick bite of a quality yet toned-down down Seafood meal.”

“The first time we went we had an amazing server and it made the experience magical. This time our waitress was not prepared or equipped to handle four customers. The mixed drinks let us down too, the food wasn't hot, we had to get our soups and salad to go because she didn't bring them out before the meal. The appetizers were delicious and once I heated up my meal at home it was delicious as well. Due to the drastic change in experience we recommend the place and hope you get a great server so that you can enjoy the experience.”

Spaghetti was tasty and the Ace burger was delicious! Service was exceptional...drinks never went empty and dirty dishes removed promptly. Very friendly and accommodating. Loved the decor- felt like home! Prices were very reasonable and even on the lower side for the quality and quantity. I hope people realize what they would pay in Chicago!! I was very impressed!!”

“Had catfish tonight with fried pickle appetizer. Fried pickles were very good. We ordered one regular catfish and one Cajun. The Cajun seemed very bland for a Cajun seasoning, especially since there is an upcharge for the Cajun version. The regular catfish was very good. The coleslaw was not our best pick. It probably works well for some folks, but just not our flavor. Overall a great meal.”

I have complained several times to no avail.”
