We went here for food and trivia on a Friday, and it was so fun! Great food and attentive service. Will go again, for sure. Also, the Trivia Guys provided a good session of trivia and the crowd was lively.

Absolutely fantastic experience throughout. My wife and I got a rare afternoon out without the children and decided to try something new. We had read a few articles about the bistro and it's opening a few months ago, but this was our first visit. We found it empty early on a Monday. Pleasantly and warmly greeted by the chef and basically given the run of the place. Simple and fun, but classy, decor throughout.

We started with cocktails (Crazy Train for me, and one for my wife that was like drinking a glass of Autumn). Quite delightful, and would happily have tried another were it not for the impending need to pick up the minis. Before we left, we also got to sample a cocktail the chef was experimenting with (bourbon and some smoked herbs, among other things) which was likewise excellent. The chef obviously cares about her guests, as she was creating the cocktail for some of her regulars.

On to the food! The menu is simple favoring salads and sandwiches. We went for the charcuterie plate and the grilled cheese and fig sandwich. The charcuterie came with a delightful truffle butter as well as a red eye (think gravy) aioli. Every ingredient was excellent and paired artfully. The grilled cheese was sublime. Brie, Benton's bacon, and figs pair well and make for culinary ecstasy. We chose the tomato basil bisque for our side and were also thoroughly pleased.

Dessert consisted of the creme brulee (sadly informed it's coming off the menu next week). As with everything else, dessert was excellent.

You can tell a lot of heart went into the menu and the food. My wife's drink had flecks of vanilla floating you could see (yay!) And there was a lot of attention to detail throughout.

I think we've found our new date night (or lunch) spot!
