As someone with dietary restrictions (and a bit of a sweet tooth), I’ve had my fair share of experiences being let down by gluten free pastries claiming to satisfy my cravings, so believe me when I say that there is nothing “theoretical” about how well the Donut Theory has managed to execute a delicious and fresh gluten free cake donut in conjunction with a plethora of additional menu items and fantastic customer service. Laura and Daniel have shattered the constraints that exist in the market for gluten free pastry items by being simultaneously fresh, gluten free, and delicious, and have done so with the unmatched style, flavor, and care that comes with a family owned and operated business. On top of the unparalleled quality of the product, the smiling faces and cheerful disposition that I’ve been greeted with each time I’ve visited their new location serves as an indicator that they put both their customers AND their employees first. Ya'll I'm not even a donut person, but I am if it's The Donut Theory! They have totally changed my mind when it comes to this. Their flavors are so unique and fun and constantly changing making it a stop we make often! My toddler asks weekly for "Laura's donuts". Not only are they delicious, but their business is family owned and operated and truly cares about the Knoxville community and it's customers. Count on leaving as a friend in their eyes!

I have celiac disease & must eat gluten free. I am happy there is a place I can feel 100% safe eating at. The fried chicken is amazing & the donuts I shared with my bf were great too. I can’t wait to come back & try the other donut flavors.

Donut Theory donuts are incredible! Their service and staff are awesome. They make yummy donuts that leave you wanting more every day! Laura and her team nailed the gluten free donuts- not only are they gluten free but they are the best donuts!!! Support this small business if you want the best donuts.
