Stopped in while in town and got seated really quickly at the bar. I ordered the Big Nasty with onion rings, and I also got fries because I heard they were good! The Big Nasty was definitely big, but not nasty at all! It was very good and filling! The onion rings and fries were both very good as well! Will definitely return if I am in the area!
One of the best burgers I've ever had! The Billy was excellent, especially if you love goat cheese like I do. I also was able to try there fries and onion rings, both of which were great! I love that the batter on the onion rings stayed on them and didn't crumble off. Great beer selection too. If you are in the are and are looking for an amazing burger stop in here!
They have some of the best burgers in Knoxville. Abridged is probably the only place that competes in that regard. They also have a small, but good beer selection with some well known names and some more local names as well. They have a massive selection of whiskey, bourbon, and Scotch.
The only downside is that they get jam packed. I've been before where the wait was 2-3 hours. It's usually only that long on a game day or something like that but waits of an hour or more are pretty common. I recommend going at like 3:30 or 4:00 on a Saturday that isn't a game day. It's pretty easy to get in at that time without waiting too long.
We visit Knoxville frequently and have been recommended this restaurant by many people. We have ordered out, and eaten in the place. When we ate there, the atmosphere was nice, the crab dip was fantastic and the condiments on their burgers are great. However, I ordered a hamburger and there was no seasoning or taste in the burger. It was a thick burger and cooked well (seared so that the juices were still inside). However, the blandness was very off-putting and, for a burger place, disappointing.
This is a place that will satisfy Ron Swanson and Ann Perkins! Amazing joint with locally sourced everything. All the bacon and Bourbon that meets the Swanson pyramid, all the freshest veggies to meet the nutritional requirements of Ann Perkins. The service is great but the place can get crowded so come early! The vibe is awesome and has a true country in the city feel.
