Dumplins Bistro & Bakery

We were traveling and my wife saw a billboard for Dumplin's in Jackson Tennessee. Since we ended up spending the night in one of the hotels, we decided to locate Dumplins Bistro & Bakery. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of food as most bakeries only serve sandwiches. This little bakery served a lot more than just sandwiches, my wife had Grilled Salmon on rice with green beans and I had Hamburger Steak with baked potato casserole and green beans. I also ordered a small side of chicken and dumplings to try. Our wonderful waitress brought out 2 rolls with 2 types of butter (one a strawberry spread and the other a creamy spread). Needless to say, all of the food was excellent. Since we were full, we ordered our cake slices to go. I couldn't make up my mind, so they cut a small slice of Carrot Cake and a small slice of Italian Cream Cake and treated it as one slice. I highly recommend Dumplins Bistro & Bakery to anyone traveling through Jackson Tennessee or who live in the area.

The food was good but not great. Service was hood but not great. I enjoyed my food but not sure if I will go out of my way to go back. The pies and cakes looked good. I may go back so.etime for desert.

Simple but very good menu choices. Roast beef was tender and bread was fresh and warm. Great service and comfortable outdoor seating. Didn’t save room for dessert this time but the pies look amazing.

Great food, everything was delicious and really a quick service for lunch which we needed due to a appointment nearby. The desserts were simply amazing. All of the meal was fantastic and the place is really nice and I would totally recommended it to anyone. Our entire meal took about 40-45 mins with dessert and paying. Perfect!

Precious. Quick and easy plate lunch place with top shelf desserts. Good prices and good variety for a group. They only get 4 stars because they only brew the sweet tea and subject southerners to boxed tea if they order unsweetened. Come on, really!??!!?!? Is fountain boxed tea allowed below the Mason-Dixon line? Did you smuggle it in?!?!
