Rafael's Restaurant

We had a great meal at this restaurant. Staff was wonderful food was exquisite. One of those hole in the wall places with excellent service and Food. It’s definitely a must try in your ever in the neighborhood.

Staff were very friendly. But advertising this place as Italian is kind of misleading. It should be labeled as a smorgasbord. Someone posted pictures of the menu, so I won't add to that. The waitress did say, as she handed me the menu, "we have everything here". I couldn't tell what might be good by the menu so i got a cheese steak sandwich. Meat was kinda bland, tasted like a poor cut of scrap meat. Fries were cooked well and had a "regional " feel to them. Prices were pretty decent for what was being served.

The restaurant is more laid back which I think is a good thing. They have never gotten my order wrong in the years that I have been going to them. I have had the pizza and it is a good deal with good flavor but my favorite meal is the Italian Cheesesteak with peppers, onions and mushrooms. They toast it with cheese on top, you get a pickle spear and some great fries. One of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten.

We have been fans of Rafael's for over a decade! This location has undergone a complete remodel in the past couple of years and it looks remarkable. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. The wait staff is polite and attentive. The food is always hot and fresh. We love coming here with our 1 year old son! Their high chairs are also kept clean (which is a real problem with some restaurants for some odd reason) so that was a huge bonus for me, as a new mom! Whether it be a nice meal for a special occasion or just good old fashioned comfort food, this place is the place to go!
